In a YouTube video (link to videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kd3vqTfe3W0 posting today, news agency Reuters reported that the remarkable dispenser had been installed in Abu Dhabi’s extravagant Emirates Palace Hotel.
The report said it stocked 320 types of 24-carat gold bars and coins. Video footage showed the range includes 2009 and 2010 issues from The Perth Mint’s Australia Kangaroo gold bullion coin series.
The gold vending machine updates customers with the latest price from the gold markets every ten minutes through a computer system, the report said.
