How to make an old car gold
I was not worried for being an owner of an old car. I knew a sports car or new car is beyond my capacity. Normally the dream of buying them hardly came in my mind. Their maintenance cost is also high. I was carrying a fairy dream in me, once a big change will come in my life and if I get lots of extra money, I will buy one of them. Though my other half loves to ride luxurious car, she never shout me about this. I am lucky because she understands the financial condition and way of life that should be applied during this situation.
I always take care of my 95 model road machine. When I was being the forth owner of this car, I believed the last lady owner took enough care of it, if I continue that love to the car it won’t do anything wrong with me. My GF said my thinking style is oldish like a very 70 years people. In some instance she is right, because I never do speeding, always follow speed direction always follow state rules about driving. Actually I do more than the rule, where the speed limit is 60, I stay around 50 so that my car engine gets low pressure.
During our last wedding anniversary we tried to do something different, washed the window certain, cleaned the back garden and home carpet. We added a new flavourer to the car by painting it. It was not hard at all; get the colour code, buy spray paint and some primer and do the job. We took help from Internet on painting a car. She bought a pack of new seat cover. The black seat cover was a bit sporty. I was very happy as my car is going to get a new look. When we fitted the cover, the car got a different look but we did not like that. For some reason the shiny seat cover was not adjusting with the old car. Next day we returned the seat covers and bought stainless exhaust tip for the car. This was another funny toy that my wife liked. When the tip fitted, the ass of the new painted car was showing great. Yes the look was better when it is viewed a bit away from the car. The new looks provided me another idea, I thought if we install a muffler tips or a new exhaust system the car may perform better. But the thinking doesn’t grow as this is not a very good car to invest. I found it is wise to rent a luxurious/sport car before joining in any party or to go for a long drive. Small develop like changing colour, adding exhaust tip, adding window film is affordable for these cars and these provides better value if you ever get a chance to sell.
After a long time we made lots of changes to the car by paying about $50 to the police as the window film was too dark. I was not aware of this; the window should brighter enough so that at least 40% light can pass through the window. Window film brought a great change to the car. We had to fit a new exhaust system to get the fitness certificate. It was a pain to spend this much money for this car but I thought it is still better than buying another one. The stainless exhaust system reduced the car noise and I feel the car performing much better. I am doing all these just because of the engine; it has never given me pain. My confidence increases when someone looks at the car with a query eye of buying.
