Coca Cola Scholarships & Grants College
In achieving their dream to have bachelor degree, university scholarship is important for students who come from low-income families or from families with terrible financial condition. Fortunately, there are many companies in the United State that show their Corporate Social Responsibility by giving college scholarships to thousands of senior high schools students. One of companies that give scholarships to hundreds of students annually is Coca Cola through its charitable organization, The Coca Cola Scholars Foundation. Started from 2010, the Coca Cola Foundation has given scholarships to about 1,400 students across the country.
Overview on Coca Cola Scholars Program
There are two types of scholarship offered by this company and one of the scholarships is four-year university study to senior high schools students with high GPA. For this scholarship, Coca Cola provides 250 scholarships for students from all states in America. In every year, Coca Cola chooses 2,000 finalists that will compete to get the 250 scholarships. The team from the Coca Cola Foundation will interview all the 2,000 finalists personally. All interview process is taken place in Atlanta, Georgia. After the interview process, the team will then select 50 students who will be granted with a $20,000 scholarship and 200 students who will be granted a $10,000 scholarship.
Overview on Coca Cola Community College Academic Program
The second type of scholarships from the Coca Cola Foundation is scholarship for senior high schools students who plan to continue their education to community college. The Coca Cola Foundation has provided more than $450,000 in stipends for about 300 community colleges students. The requirement is still the same with the university scholarship where students must have high GPA. The amount of stipends ranges from $1,000 to $2,000 depending on the type of award received by each student.
Eligibility
There are several requirements that a student must fulfill in order to compete in the battle of getting Coca Cola scholarships. The first requirement is that students must have at least 3.0 on GPA at the end of the junior year of high school. The second requirement is that students must be registered at a community college and have GPA of at least 3.5. Unfortunately, if you are a child or a grandchild of a Coca Cola worker, you are forbidden to apply any scholarship from Coca Cola. It is already a regulation and cannot be amended.
