Worth of a uncirculated 1974 Eisenhower silver dollar?
Can anyone tell me what the worth of a 1974 “S” uncirculated Silver Dollar is? It is in a sealed clear plastic, along with a blue plastic piece the same size that says: “EISENHOWER uncirculated silver dollar” and It has an eagle clutching the olive branch……
And the clear package says ” Package by UNITED STATES MINT”
Can anyone tell me what this is worth?
According to the “Guide Book of United States Coins” (2009), a dealer would likely charge around $9 (but he’d buy it for much less). There were only 1.9 million of these minted, fewer than any “Ike” year but 1973, so it seems to me the value should be going up as they get older. Hang onto it if you can.
