i have about a quart of pure fresh squeezed tomato juice. What should i make with it?
I would like to make at least some tomato soup, if not something more exotic. This is pure tomato juice, not just pureed tomatoes. Also, i prefer to ‘cook’ something, not just make something to drink cold.
Any good recipes an average joe can make?
Sweet…..lucky you! Of course, you could pour this gift over some ice and stir in some black pepper and drink it like it is, that would be heaven. Killer Bloody Mary’s if you drink alcohol or a virgin type if you don’t. But, you could also make a creamy tomato soup with it, fresh garlic and basil, heavy cream, finely ground black pepper and a little chicken stock, another piece of deliciousness. Another suggestion would be to use that juice in a lightly sauteed vegetable dish with pasta or add it to your Chili, Pot Roast,Baked Chicken Cacciatore or Spanish Rice dish, you could add it to some Alfredo Sauce to make a “Pink Sauce” and that would be wonderful with some Chicken and veggies. So, those are my simple, easy suggestion for you tonight. I’m sure you can get more “exotic” recipes online, but I just thought I’d give you a jumping point to start off with. Have fun with your fresh juice, I’m so envious!
