Fine Gold
Is it fine to keep diffrent types of Gold fish in a same tank?and how many space a fish require?

i have 35+ gold fish in a tank thay are many kinds of i realy dont know the names but most of them are young(1 to 1 to 2 inch f size) how much space each of them need?plz add how to grow them quick? thanx
i have a tank of 75 gallons.

2/3 gallons of water per every inch of body size of the goldfish in question. Max size of fish very from species to species ranging from 6inches to 14 inches. Yes an overcrowded tank will cause the fish to have stunted grow but this mean they will grow slower and might not max out at full size. example shubunkins get 14 inches , lets say yours stops growing at 8 inches. That one fish will still need at the least 20 gallons to properly maintain the amount of clean water needed to keep him healthy . To give you another idea/example. about 24 one to two inch fish equal the same amount of waste produced by one full sized goldfish at roughly 10 inches. You didnt state what size tank you have. But even so lets say its a 75 gallon, I would still predict you will have problems with you water chemistry. Goldfish as all fish do produce ammonia everytime they poop. Goldfish just happen to produce twice as much poop as other types of fish. This in turn gets broken down to nitrates by you beneficial bacteria that lives in your tanks gravel/bio wheels/ ect.. If ammonia spikes dont directly kill your fish the nitrate levels will indirectly kill them through… septicemia/fin rot/dropsy/or misc other body fungus.
