Well, the German people have always been represented by the Eagle. Prussia used it, as did Austria. When Germany was founded, it had a since of pride in the Eagle, as well. The coat of Arms was actually an eagle. As Hitler was very, very German and brought back the Eagle in just about everything he did. The second most used symbol, behind the swastika of course, was the German Eagle. So the German Eagle has been around for almost a thousand years, and countless flags have been made portraying it. It’s been hung from Hanover in northern Germany to Bosnia, from Berlin to the jungles of Central Africa. So there’s no one flag to locate.
