How much are you expected to buy at a bar during a football game?
I’m think of spending Super Bowl sunday at a local bar and would like to watch the entire game. i don’t believe they are doing anything special. so how much am i expected to buy?
good question. here is what i do…if it is not too crowded then i don’t feel bad cuz my butt is in an otherwise empty seat. I usually have something (1) to drink in the 1st half. then come third qtr i will get something to eat, then maybe another drink in the 4th qtr IF it is a good game. all in i can usually get out of there spending $15 (with standard tip…sorry, my butt in an otherwise empty chair does not deserve more of a tip), maybe talk to a few people and see multiple games. They will always attempt to get you to eat immediately. I guess you end up eating more that way or something. Better yet, watch one half at home and 2nd at bar. It gets old being at a bar for an entire game. i’ve done too many. w/ friends it is more enjoyable of course.
