Gold Replica
I have a small collection of gold stamp replicas that I got through the Postal Commemorative Society. Value?

Are these worth any money?

If they are the gold stamp replicas with the first day covers they sell for around $2.95 each. I have seen ads for them in Coin World from a company in California. I did how ever buy 2 albums of them for less than a $1 each per cover. I use the historic ones as back ground on my coin displays. There is not that much gold in them, only a few cents worth, since the stamps are gold plated with a very thin coating. With gold high now maybe there is a nickels worth. Items like you have do not do well on the secondary market so are bad investments. The historic ones are interesting and good to pass down in the family for who knows what will happen in 50 years or so.
