Gold Very
Will receiving the Gold Presidential Service Award Be Very Beneficial for College?

How much will it make my college application stand out upon taking 5 AP classes overall, editor of the school newspaper, varsity golf, 95% grade average, Junior acheveivement, American red cross club, drama club, and student body president 3 consecutive years in a row. Will all these things in addition to recieving 2 gold presidential service awards for 250+ hours of volunteer work help me get into a very good college, and what colleges do you think would accept me

In a word, YES! If you have the SAT scores to back up your achievements, you look like a valuable addition to almost any school. I know you’d be an excellent candidate for my alma mater.

I encourage you to check out “Colleges that Change Lives”, 40 schools that have perennially proved to foster strong growth in the academic and personal qualities of their students. They’re characterized by a variety of programs, lasting teacher-student interaction at a variety of levels, and consistent student involvement in the planning of the educational process.

If you wish, I can give you a formal recommendation to Knox College. The most tangible part of this recommendation is that Knox will waive your application fee. If you’d like that, send me email through my Y!A profile, and we’ll go from there.
