How reliable is a pap test? Its showing a “high grade” lesion !?
I got an abnormal pap test result today. The report says “abnormal squamous cells are present, a high grade lesion cannot be excluded”.
Apparently I now need to have a colposcopy to confirm if its a high grade lesion or not.
Does anyone know what the chances are that it is? How reliable are pap tests? Is this quite a common result? I just want to know how worried I should be!
