Why is 1 gram of gold leaf (3.99) so much cheaper than 1 gram bullion gold bar(49.99)?
You’re probably comparing a much lower carat (amount of actual gold in a gram) leaf to a much higher percentage of gold bullion. Bullion gold is often at 23 carats (96% pure gold). Leaf gold can be much lower – say down to 14 carats (58% gold). Therefore the prices will be much different. If both have the same purity than they’ll be about the same price.
