How valuable is my AK-47?
I have a Norinco (chinese) AK that has a milled receiver. I was looking for aftermarket parts for it and realized that it is fairly rare b/c not many accessories are available for it. It has the wooden thumb hole stock and no flash hider. It seems that most of the Chinese Ak’s are stamped and I was told that only one shipment of milled Norincos ever made it into the US. Is my gun rare and what is it worth compared to other AK’s? TIA
Norinco Mak90s are hte only true AK47 to ever make it into civilian hands in the US. all the other milled receiver import rifles are NFA machine guns. it s not exactly rare, but the lack of US-legal foreign milled receivers in the US makes this a valuable rifle.
most AK-types in the US are AKM rifles, wit ha stamped receiver. Norinco MAK90s are AK47, milled receiver. there’s only Arsenal and Firingline that also makes milled receivers. and those two are domestic manufactures.
you’ll be looking at $900-$1200. My wasr-10, AKM, cheapest of the cheap is $350. (cost me $650 becasue I’m in California) the Polish, Bulgarians, and most European AKMs are around $700.
because Norincos are banned from import, the value will keep going up until congress reverses its ruling, which is probably never. Norinco ammo has also been steadily increasing its value. Norinco-anything basically.
