Which coin is worth more a MS 70 or Proof 70?
I’m talking in general terms here. Which coin would be more valuable assuming you got the same coin same year a MS 70 or Proof 70 (professionally graded by NGC/PCGS)?
I’ve always been under the impression proof 70 coins would be more valuable due to its detail. Which would be more desirable in terms of worth?
I’ve been thinking of buying 2009 coins and wanted to know which would appreciate in value over time better.

Mintage (number of coins produced) is also a factor, but, in general, the proof coins tend to carry a higher value. With modern technology (and probably generous graders as well) there tend to be many more “perfect” coins in recent years. It is difficult to predict future values, but I tend to think most of these certified modern coins are overpriced. I hope that helps.
