What do you think of my short poem “Abandoned Nest”?
I saw her nest by frozen bay
Upon an oak which laid below
One canopy of winter gray
And countless coins of opal snow.
The coiled twigs were tightly spun
And fastened stiff with frozen muck
Like leaves that once were there, it hung
Upon the oak tree’s powdered tusk.
Though winter sun had sent away
The bird that sewed its April nest
December, in its dead array-
Amplified what life was left.

“muck” sounds clumsy and kills the sound.

that was si good! i loved how the line then the 3 line rhymed. and the 2 and 4 line rhymed. very good organization! theselines
