Why are Canadian Cops more lenient?
I am American and i’ve smoked weed since high school(Don’t judge me) but i’m going to college in Canada and one day i was driving on the high way when i got pulled over because my tail light was out and i just happen to have an ounce of weed on me and the cop found it, i thought i was in deep shit until he looked at me and said “This never happened” and took my weed. Now i had heard that Canada was a much more laid back country as far as Marijuana and police goes, but i always thought it was just a joke, back home in america this would never happen, i was just wondering, is there a certain reason that Canada is so much more Lenient(Awesome)
Okay, first of all there are roughly 50,000 police officers in Canada, and you have a sample size of 1. The next officer who pulls you over may very well nail you.
Nevertheless, Canadian police don’t tend to be as hard on minor possession as in the US. That might be explained by the harping the US Federal government constantly does on drugs.
Incidentally, as far as the fellow above me: he should stop smoking that shit, it’s interfering with his memory. Canada has discussed decriminalizing pot, it has NEVER been done, under pressure from the US or not.
