Selling Gold Coin Need Advice?
I have a 1986 Gold panda coin in a plastic covering, but it is not sealed. There is 2 spots (cm each) of reddish tones on front and a few tones on back. A buyer originally offered $1,157.80, but now is offering $100 less because of the unsealed cover. Keep in mind the buyer hasn’t seen it in person yet. So, his final offer seems to be $1,057.80. Is this fair? only serious collectors or dealers need reply. thanks
First, beware of spam/phishing answers. You already have two, and might get more. Be wary.
Your panda is a bullion coin rather than a collector coin, but a coin dealer is still the best place to sell. Advertisers in a trade paper like Coin World would likely be more reputable than what you would find in a web search alone. Look for someone who advertises both buy and sell prices, so you find a legitimate market maker and get an idea of the spread.
