Are basketball cards worth money?
I have a booklet of basketball cards I collected when I was a kid. They are in near mint condition and I have held onto them thinking one day they would be worth money. They are from ’91-’93 and include the following players: Dennis Rodman (when he played with the Spurs), Alonzo Mourning, Dee Brown, Chris Robinson, BJ Armstrong, Charles Barkley, Shaq, Isiah Thomas, Karl Malone, Shawn Kemp, Dikembe Mutombo, Larry Johnson, Shawn Kemp, Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, Chris Webber & others. Are these worth any money? Will they ever be worth any money? Should I keep them?
I collected nba trading cards from 91 up to 98 and focused more on Penny. Shaq and Kobe plus a few rare MJ cards. I kept my Penny and Shaq for a long time and traded my MJ cards for Kobe rarity. I think I did not recover my investments from my Penny and Shaq cards but for Kobe rare cards, I see some good returns now.
Should I keep them? Only few cards from 91-93 are rare, as such better to keep it than sell it. To be honest with you, I think your cards value are not that much, unless you have a “special card” in your collection.
Cards today are produce low numbered that’s why you can see that Lebron or Kobe autographs/jersey are priced much higher.
