Do you need to lose 20 pounds in a month? Maybe you have more or less that you need to lose? Well, whatever your goals are, I’m about to share with you 5 golden tips that took me from getting terrible results for many years, to finally dropping a total of 52 pounds in 2 months (losing a tad over 20 pounds every month). What’s even better is that the things I began to do had nothing to do with fad dieting, diet pills, exercising for a billion hours a day, starving myself, or other types of foolishness that you see everywhere you turn these days!

Totally eliminate processed foods (no exception)…
Of all the foods that are recommended for you to avoid, processed foods should be on the top of the list. After all, 9 times out of 10, it’s processed foods that added that excess weight on you in the first place. Furthermore, these types of foods can not only cause weight gain and fat gain, they can also cause many problems with your overall health.
The best types of foods to eat are natural foods, organic foods, and grass-fed meats. Stay away from canned, boxed, preservative, etc. types of processed foods as much as you can. Try it for at least 3 days and watch how you’ll feel!
Decrease salt consumption…
Salt is necessary for our bodies… BUT… in VERY small quantities. Having too much sodium can not only cause several health problems, it can also cause weight gain by way of water retention. Drinking plenty of water on top of having too much sodium can make you feel bloated and can add on several pounds of water weight.
The best recommendation is to simply reduce your salt intake as much as possible, continue to drink more water (to help in reducing water weight… among other MANY benefits), and if you do have salt, I recommend sea salt.
Stop skipping meals…
As the body needs frequent hydration, so does the body need frequent nourishment. By skipping meals (especially breakfast), you are only going to cause your metabolism to slow down, and you are going to cause excessive hunger pangs and cravings to develop later in the day.
To fix this, I recommend that you go on a diet that has you eating often during the day with smaller meals. This way you’ll never feel like you’re starving, those annoying craving urges will stop, and you’ll boost your metabolism!
With exercises, focus on what increases your metabolism, not on what decreases your weight…
Spending a TON of time doing cardio so that you can reduce pounds is NOT effective. The reason why is because by doing this you are going to not just lose fat, you will also end up losing muscle tissue. This will then lead to several issues.
The best approach is to focus on doing exercises that boost your metabolism. The types of workouts that do this are high intensity workouts, high intensity interval workouts (rotating between high and low intensities), and muscle-building workouts. This type of exercising is 100 times better than just doing cardio since you’ll burn off BODY FAT ONLY, you’ll look much better, you’ll feel more energetic, and so much more!
Avoid dieting that reduces your metabolic rate…
Any type of diet that has you starve yourself in any way, eliminate important nutrients (such as carbs and fats… and yes they are important… the healthy kind of course), rely on pre-packaged meals delivered to your home that are either/or high in sodium or preservatives, encourage you to eat less meals each day, etc. are the types of diets that will reduce your metabolism… and I highly recommend you avoid them.
If your metabolic rate decreases, your body is more prone to STORING calories than burning them off! Those companies selling those programs know this, and they don’t tell you this, because they know that you’ll be right back spending more money! Well, the best thing to do is to choose a diet like I did that is based entirely around increasing the rate of your metabolism by eating often, eating healthy and delicious foods, and eating in a way that causes your bodies fat burning hormones to reach its peak.
