I want to understand the relationship between music and pure mathematics?
I had little real education so my knowledge of pure mathematics (my arithmetic is fine) is poor but I feel that by getting an understanding of it my experience of music will deepen.
I’m particularly interested in things like the Golden Ratio and it’s use by Debussy, etc.
Are there any good books or resources out there which may be able to help me?

A very mesmerizing subject. The GR is shown to be used throughout the music & art world. ANd Western music especially reduces to mathematical representation. The format of scales, minors, note relationships….enjoy!
BTW, the Golden Ratio also appears in nature: In the nautilis shell for example.
