Any info on a double barrel shotgun marked Metropolitan Arms Co. with a lion with glass eyes carved in stock.?
The shotgun has damascus twist barrels and sidelock hammers. The lion is very well carved with great detail. The carving is on the stock where you would grip it while shooting the gun and is in relief. There is a lot of other carving on the stock and foregrip. I know about the Metropolitans made by Crescent but this does not seem to fit anything I can find about these shotguns. Maybe the carving was added later.
