Sharp pain around belly button 5 weeks pregnant round ligament pain?
I am 5 weeks pregnant and I have been having sharp pains around my belly button, they really hurt badly! Its constant but they seem to get worse when I walk around and bend over. They also wake me up at night, they almost feel like contractions! I called my doctor and she said they are round ligament pains, but every wheres I have read says you don’t get those until your second trimester. I told her this and she said don’t worry some people get them early b/c especially if you have never been pregnant before. Im worried has anyone else had this?
I don’t care what the internet says, I had round ligament pains at 5 weeks too. It started like yours (around the belly button), and then it was pretty bad….I got the very sharp stretching pains on either side of my uterus every time I rolled over or got up too fast or sneezed. Its been horrible. I thought something was wrong but doc says some people just feel it alot sooner than others. Whats really weird is it started happening alot less once I got to be about 8 weeks. This is also my first pregnancy, so it happens during the first too!
