Physically broken hard drive… Data recovery companies?
Basically, my brother dropped his hard drive while it was in operation. It’s now physically broken – when he turns it on, it makes clicking and bleeping noises, and his computer no longer recognises the drive.
I know this drive is beyond the realms of data recovery software, since the disk isn’t actually working any more. But I know the data is still physically electromagnetically still on the disk… So my question is: Are there any data recovery companies which I could send the hard drive to? I’m hoping they’ll be able to remove the physical disk from the hard drive, and rescue any remaining scraps of data available.
My brother’s pretty annoyed at himself… he had his entire life on that thing, and he didn’t keep backups!! That’ll learn him…

Ha! Yeah that will teach him…By the sounds of it, It is F*cked as it is damaged structurally and it may have damaged the data anyway and if any such company would do it then it would probably cost you a fortune…But i seriously doubt you can get that done..
