coin collecting basics?
3 questions….
i have a huge collection from my great grandfather that i recently received. .
he has a lot of pre 1900 coins in a pcgs plastic thing? looks like random coins
NUMBER ONE what is pcgs?
NUMBER 2 if there is a 1878 doll what other coins should i get for that yr should i try for every coin of every yr or do some coins mean nothing?
NUMBER 3 if i want to continue the collection and add coins from the mid to late 1900 and 2000′s do i buy proof sets with the mirror finish or do i buy mint coins that never made it to circulation i would think a proof is something i would by my kid @ birth and not so much for investing am i wrong?
