How do I add amber side running lights to a four pole flat boat trailer wiring system?
I need to add amber running lights to the side of my boat trailer, which has four pole flat wiring. The amber lights only have a hot wire and “automatic” ground, connected to the mount. Do I just tap into the brown running light wire with the one live amber light wire? This doesn’t seem like a complete circuit to me, but there’s only one wire connected to the bulb, so I don’t see any other way to do it. Thanks!
that’s exactly right, just make sure the screw that provides ground goes into bare metal on the trailer
