problem: An art teacher makes earrings from silver nuggets. Each nugget makes 1 earring. The shavings left over from 6 nuggets are then melted and recast to form one more nuggets. The teacher ordered 36 nuggets from her class. How many earrings cane be made from 36 nuggets?

36/6 is 6 …. so you get 6 earnings from the shavings. add that to 36 she had
