When sinking silver in H2O and bakng soda in an aluminum pan to remove tarnish, pieces need 2 b complete sunk?
My pieces are quite large an no aluminum pan is deep enough to hold enoguh water to cover them. A silver chamgne ice bucket is one of them.
You can line a pan or plastic bucket with aluminum sheet like reynolds wrap. The paper will have holes in it once the tarnish is removed. Add some vinegar to the water. Turn your piece once the tarnish is removed. Leave it a few hours.
Baking soda works also.
