How is the area around Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia?
I may be taking a job in Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, but I don’t know the city at all. What is the area like around the hospital? Is it a safe place to live or does it get a bit sketchy? What are the nice areas around the city that I should look in? Thanks.
It’s pretty safe for the city. Not bad. Part of it is also the gay-borhood. It is close to businesses, shops and restaurants, also the historic area.
Consider Queen Village area. It all kind of depends on how much $$ you want to spend. Look into Old City, too. If you’ve got the bucks, go for Society Hill or Rittenhouse Square.
TJU is centrally located to a lot of fun neighborhoods. Good place to work.
