help with diet and weight program!!!!?

My boyfriend is a soccer player at UNC, he is 5’10 and weighs 148.
He wants to gain weight and muscle, to like 175 lbs.
What would be a good workout program and diet for him to folow so that he can still keep his speed yet put on some muscle tone?

You should date me, lol – I am 175 pounds and 5`10.. and I have hit the gym the past few years and have a sculptured, muscular body. I am what your boyfriend wants to be!! Ok, anyways, he needs to up the gym, 5 days per week minimum and work on two muscle groups per day. My regime:

Mondays – back and biceps + cardio
Tuesdays – chest and triceps
Wednesdays – shoulders and abs + cardio
Thursdays – legs
Fridays – extra cardio and a curcuit training – a little of all muscle groups
Sat – rest
Sun – spin cycle intense cardio

- all of this cardio is designed to keep the fat off, while gaining and keeping the muscle you are building.

To keep and grow muscle through all this exercising – he will need to consume a lot more protein – get him to purchase protein powder to mix with skim milk. ISO FLEX is one of the best.. and eat more chicken, more beef, more beans, anything with protein.
